Schooling Kids About D&D and ToK Progress

Only a few weeks after our blog was published and promoted around Bosnian TTRPG Facebook groups and geeky websites, we received word that the monsters Admir dreamed up and Emir statted out will be used in an introductory D&D session in one of Bosnian primary schools.

Helen Doron English Learning Centre in Eastern Sarajevo hosted the Game Master Enes Barucija who introduced nine youngsters (ages 10 -12) to the world of Dungeons and Dragons in general, and our monsters in particular. You can see part of the fun that was had in the gallery below, and we have it on good authority that yes, these children were also partially traumatized by their elders’ stories about monsters like we were before, and yes, these pre-teens will be coming back to the worlds of D&D and will continue learning to experience and enjoy works of fiction in this manner. In addition to expanding their vision of our world, D&D will be a stepping stone to improving their reading and cognitive skills. And we couldn’t be happier!

January 2020 Progress

Even with all of the stresses Janus always seems to bring, and Admir working on a new comic book project, Emir has been working hard on the first Bosnian adventure module featuring Terrors of Kalay. You can see the screenshot of the January progress and those with good eyesight might be able to glimpse the direction we’re going in and some of the planned outcomes of this writing experiment.

First drafts of the Introduction and Chapter 1, all done! Quickly moving on to Chapter 2 and first of the random encounter tables.
